Access the Blog Theme Options via Appearance > Theme Options > Blog.
Blog Content Display
Use this option to choose what content to display an excerpt, full post for title only for the Blog pages. This does not affect the Single post pages.
Default Page Layout
Set the default Layout of the Blog pages i.e. Index, Archive, Categories. Single Posts will inherit this setting if no Post Layout option is set in Single Posts.
Maximum Blog Width
If you have selected a Page Layout without a Sidebar, you can set the maximum width of the Page Content. This is ideal to create a slim, easy to read Blog Pages.
Pin Sidebar
If you have chosen a Page Layout to contain one sidebar, you can enable this option to pin the Sidebar to the edge of the page.
Column 1 Sidebar
If you have chosen a Page Layout to contain a sidebar, you can choose which side to use on Column 1 here. See Appearance > Theme Options > Layout > Widget Areas to create more than the default 2 sidebar widget areas.
Column 2 Sidebar
If you have chosen a Post Layout to contain a sidebar, you can choose which side to use on Column 2 here. See Appearance > Theme Options > Layout > Widget Areas to create more than the default 2 sidebar widget areas.
Display Format
Select the display Format of the posts on Blog pages.
- Normal will display posts stack on top of each other
- Grid will display the posts a grid layout
- Masonry Grid will display the posts as a grid layout and optimal position based on available vertical space, like a mason fitting stones in a wall
Grid Columns
Set the number of Columns to display the posts in. Layout Format has to be set to Grid or Masonry Grid.
Boxed Post Style
This option allows you to display posts with a Boxed / Non-Boxed style.
Display Search Bar
Add a Search Bar to the Blog pages. Choose from the following options:
- Disabled
- Search Bar – A traditional search bar which will display the results on a search page
- Search Filter – Search the posts on that current blog page and it will filter the posts based on the keyword entered
- Search Filter + Highlight – This option uses the Search Filter as above, with the added feature of Highlighting the keyword entered within the post
Pagination
Choose the Blog pagination style using the following options:
- Ajax Click Load – This option dynamically loads the posts onto the Blog page and displays a Load More button when more posts are available to load
- Ajax Scroll Load – This option is the same as above but instead of a Load More button, it will display more posts when you scroll to the bottom of the page
- Page Numbers – This option uses the traditional method of displaying page numbers
The number of posts displayed per page or per ajax load is set via WordPress Admin > Settings > Reading > Blog pages show at most
Featured Image
Choose where to display the Featured Image of a Post. This option can be overridden via the Post > PostLayout > Display Featured Image
Post Title HTML Tag
Use this option to control the HTML tag for Posts on Blog Pages. Use for SEO purposes if required.
Display Related Posts
Choose to display the Related Posts at the bottom of each Single Post or disable Related Posts.
Blog Page Images
Image Align
Choose what position to align Blog Page Images. If this setting is set to Left or Right, it’s recommended to set the Blog Image Size option to Medium or Thumbnail.
Image Effect
Choose from the following effects to apply to Blog Page Images
- None
- Frame
- Black & White
- Black & White Frame
Image Size
Enter the Blog Image size. Choose from the following sizes: thumbnail, medium, large, full or set a custom size e.g. 980×400
Metadata
Access the Metadata Theme Options via Appearance > Theme Options > Blog > Metadata.
Alignment
Choose the Metadata alignment, default is left. Use the Center option in combination with Theme Options > Title Area > Center Align.
Display Icons
Control the display of the Comments Icon, Date Icon and Author Avatar within the Metadata.
Archive Date Format
Choose the Date Format for Archive Pages – See the WordPress formatting guide here.
Single Date Format
Choose the Date Format for Single Posts – See the WordPress formatting guide here.
Date Position
Choose where to position the Date on Archive & Single Posts.
Display Date
Choose where to display the Post Date or choose to disable Post Date.
Display Author
Choose where to display the Post Author or choose to disable Author.
Display Categories
Choose where to display the Post Categories or choose to disable Post Categories.
Display Tags
Choose where to display the Post Tags or choose to disable Post Tags.
Display Comments
Choose where to display the Post Comments or choose to disable Comments.
Single Posts
Singe Post Title Position
Set the Single Post Title position to be within the Header or within the Page Content.
Default Post Layout
Set the default Layout of Single Posts. This option inherits on the Blog Page Layout by default. This option can be overridden by the corresponding Post option via Posts > Post Layout.
Maximum Post Width
If you have selected a Post Layout that does not contain a Sidebar, you can control the maximum Post Content Width by entering a valid CSS unit. e.g. 700px.
This option is useful for creating easy to read, slim content.
Featured Image
Image Lightbox
Choose to enable or disable the Lightbox option on Single Post Images. When the image is clicked on, the image will appear within a Lightbox.
Image Effect
Choose from the following effects to apply to Single Post Images
- None
- Frame
- Black & White
- Black & White Frame
Image Size
Enter the Singe Post Image size. Choose from the following sizes: thumbnail, medium, large, full or set a custom size e.g. 980×400
